June Cianci Flori talks with Fern Ronay about her memoir, My Italian Family: Life in the Past Lane.
June (Cianci) Flori is a mother and grandmother. She has worked in the business world all her life and is also an artist and crafts person. However, her one desire has always been to write. She has begun to fulfill her passion with this book. She captures the personal life of her Italian family trying to survive in the early 1900’s; their customs, struggles and happy times. In doing so, she also shares the history of that era including how they lived during World War II. The book was written as a memoir for her children and grandchildren, but it is a good read for any generation.
